Q- How much will you pay me for my gold?
The value of your gold is based directly on its weight and purity (karat). Simply put: The more you send in and the higher the karat, the more you get paid. Upon arrival, your shipment will undergo an extensive analysis as we calculate the precise composition of your metal. Once this is determined, we can establish your exact payment based on that day's Gold spot price.

(Please note: we only pay for the intrinsic value of the metal. We do not pay for any ornamental or retail value. Also, we do not pay for gems or stones.)

Q- How do I know I am getting the best possible payment for my gold?
Jewelers, pawnshops, and gold trading websites all promise "top payment", but they are simply acting as middlemen between you and a refinery. By dealing directly with Garfield Gold Exchange and our refinery, you will be cutting out the middleman-- which puts more money in your pocket. Q- What type of items can I send in?
From jewelry to dental work to coins and collectibles, we accept anything containing precious metals! We will buy your unwanted gold necklaces, broken platinum earrings, old sterling silver flatware, or gold crowns or bridges. For a more detailed list, check out our "What We Buy" page.

Q- Do you pay for stones/precious gems? Do you return stones?
We DO NOT pay for stones or precious gems. In addition, we DO NOT return stones. So we urge you to remove any wanted stones before you ship us your materials.

Q. Why not?
Most of the stones we find have very little or no value. In order to avoid damage, those that do have value should be removed by a jeweler, not a refiner.

Shipping Questions:

Q- What is a GGXpak?
It is our way of giving you a safe, free, and easy method to ship your unwanted gold to our refinery. The GGXpak provides you with all the materials you need: a polymer bag to secure your valuables, a payment preference form to get you your money how and where you want it, and a worry-free shipping envelope with prepaid postage and insurance.

Q- How do I get a GGXpak?
It’s easy! All you have to do is call us or fill out the GGXpak request form on our website and we will immediately send you a GGXpak. Once you receive the GGXpak, just fill out the form, pack your gold in the included bag, seal it in the GGX envelope and drop it in the mail.

Q- Is it free?
Absolutely, one hundred percent free! Requesting the GGXpak is free of charge, as is shipping with the prepaid envelope included in the GGXpak. In addition, there is no obligation once you receive a GGXpak, so there are no hidden costs or commitments.

Q- How do I know it is safe to ship my gold?
Here at GGX, we pride ourselves on protecting your metals from the moment they leave your home. We provide prepaid insurance when you ship using the GGXpak, so you can rest assured knowing that your valuables are secure. Please visit our “How To Sell” page for more information on our insurance policy.

Q- Do I have to use the GGXpak or can I use my own packaging?
You can ship to us in any way that works for you.  We recommend using the GGXpak because it is safe, free, and easy, but if it makes you feel more comfortable, you are welcome to use your own packaging and ship via your desired carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc.)  If you decide to ship on your own, we want to remind you to be careful to securely pack your gold to avoid any losses during shipment. We also highly recommend purchasing insurance for your package.

Q- How will I know when you've received my shipment?
Once your package has arrived at GGX, you will be sent a confirmation email. But it's easy to track your package at any point throughout the entire process using our online package tracking system. Just type in your personalized tracking number and you will have access to the status of your shipment.  And of course, you can call our customer service line at any time

.Q. How do I file an insurace claim?
A customer who wishes to submit a claim to Garfieldgoldexchange.com must NOTIFY THE COMPANY IMMEDIATELY TO REQUEST A CLAIM FORM. In order to be processed, the claim form must be fully and accurately completed, signed and mailed to Garfieldgoldexchange.com in accordance with the claim form instructions.; The customer must submit any and all supporting documentation with the completed and signed claim form. Failure to properly complete, sign and/or mail the claim form WITH PROOF THAT THE GOODS WERE MAILED TO GARFIELDGOLDEXCHANGE.COM will result in the denial of the claim by Garfieldgoldexchange.com. There is a 30 day waiting period from the time the claim form is received by Garfieldgoldexchange.com and the claim is processed. For more information, see Terms and Conditions.

Payment Questions:

Q- How long does it take to get my money?
We guarantee issuing payment within 24 hours of receiving your shipment-- ensuring you get your money as quickly as possible. Please be reminded that if you select our standard payment option, the check comes via the USPS and you should allow 5 business days for the check to arrive.

Q- What are my payment options?
You can receive your payment in two ways. With the standard payment option, we will issue a check to your specified address within 24 hours of receiving your material. With our instant Paypal payment option, we can immediately wire the funds directly to your Paypal account. Please note that Paypal charges a fee of up to $1.00 for the transaction. To insure delivery of your payment option email, add payment@garfieldgoldexchange.com to your address book.

Q- What if I am not satisfied with my payment amount?
The Garfield Gold Exchange offers a complete satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your payment amount, you can simply call our toll free number and return the check (within 10 days), and we will return your materials, no questions asked.
